We welcome you to our 300-year-old pub which had an 18th-century facelift as well as an exciting renovation in 2020/21 to celebrate its new life as a Community Pub.
We offer Restaurant, Bar and Cafe with Function Room, Skittle Alley and a large outdoor courtyard seating area.
We also have 5 relaxed en-suite B&B rooms and a Luxury Self-Catering Apartment which are open 7 days a week

Hidden gem worth driving extra few miles to. What a fantastic find it is run by the local villagers who are so welcoming and friendly , I felt I was being greeted by friends. The place is lovely smart but relaxed atmosphere, good selection of wines and beers. I spent a little time in afternoon sat in the comfy sofa reading my book with a nice NZ Sauvignon . Dinner was exceptional.I stayed in room 4 overnight, the room was good value , clean and nicely decorated. The bed was really comfortable and the room had usual tea and coffee making facilities, tv, etc. Breakfast was a continental one but more than sufficient with a choice of cereals, fruit, toast, pastries all of excellent quality and plenty of them too. I can’t thank Lucy and the morning staff enough for making my stay so enjoyable and as a 60 something female travelling on my own it was so nice to feel so comfortable. Sep 22, 2025
